Page 6 talks more about the EEP and the result of the spacetime metric in flat Cartesian coordinates. Page 7 has two coordinates where one frame (pink) is transformed from the other and shows that the metric has the same result in both frames. The rest of the page discusses the path and the proper time of an object in inertial coordinates.
